FAQ Section for Renters

Q1: How do I apply for a rental property?

Contact support@RLPortland.com for an application form. Please fill out the form, provide necessary identification, and proof of stable income. We’ll also perform a credit and background check to confirm eligibility.

Q2: What is the security deposit, and how much is it?

The security deposit is typically equal to one month's rent. It covers any damages to the property and is fully refundable at the end of your lease, minus any costs for repairs beyond normal wear and tear.

Q3: Are pets allowed in the rental property?

We maintain a no-pets policy across all our rental properties to ensure the comfort and cleanliness of our homes for all residents.

Q4: Who is responsible for utilities?

Tenants are responsible for all utilities, including gas, electricity, water, and internet. You'll need to set these up in your name and ensure timely payment.

Q5: What should I do if I need maintenance or repairs?

Please report any maintenance issues or repair needs immediately via our tenant portal or email us at support@RLPortland.com. We strive to address and resolve issues swiftly.

Q6: How and when is rent paid?

Rent is due on the first of each month. Please use Zelle for payments. For Zelle setup instructions, email us at support@RLPortland.com. To avoid late fees, as specified in your lease agreement, we kindly request that payments be made promptly.

Q7: Can I smoke or use recreational drugs on the property?

Our properties are smoke-free and drug-free zones. The use of tobacco, e-cigarettes, or recreational drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises.

Q8: What happens if I terminate my lease early?

Early lease termination is subject to the conditions stated in your lease agreement. We encourage you to contact us directly to discuss any necessary arrangements.

Q9: Can I decorate the rental property?

While we want you to feel at home, any alterations or decorations that could cause damage or require extensive restoration upon move-out are not permitted without prior written consent.

Q10: What are the guidelines for having guests over?

Guests are welcome to stay for short visits of up to a week. For stays longer than a week, you must obtain permission from the landlord. This helps us ensure the comfort and security of all tenants and maintain the quality of our properties. Please contact us for further details or to request permission.
